Grid Applications Research Laboratory (GARL) was started in 2004 by Dr. Sathish S. Vadhiyar in Supercomputer Education and Research Centre at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

The lab deals with High Performance Computing systems and applications. It aims to become an internationally competent laboratory carrying pioneering research work in the area of large scale systems and applications.

On the applications side, we focus on challenging parallel applications including multi-physics applications, AMR, n-body simulations, and other large-scale and long-running applications.

Of the systems, we work on challenging and dynamic systems including GPUs, state-of-the-art supercomputers and grid systems.
